Learning about pivots, lands, and towers while spying antelope in the field at the Anderson Place.
King of the Haybale (alfalfa of course).
And walking the ditches to make sure they're clean - though water's not an issue this year.
Then we wandered over to the Kidd Place to find the cattle and see more of the wide open spaces.
After trying to pet the goats (Curious & George/Totes-ma-Goats), we made our way back to the house for lunch and a little fun with prehistoric Chester (St. Bernard & Airedale?).Todd came in for a lunch of grilled burgers and pasta salad prepped by Heidi & Wendy.
Then back to "town" and Heidi's place to relax a bit before
the adults take off for Hartville and dinner at Miners & Stockmen's.Beautiful open space vistas heading north through Wyoming led us to this town of 376 and Wyoming's oldest bar.
Dessert for Wendy's pre-birthday was pretty tasty but nothing compared to the prime bone-in ribeye she had.
Then we took a "family photo" before Todd headed back to the farm to rake, bail, or chase bulls.
This morning Dane headed off to Longmont to visit the Aunt and we hit the road again for Mt. Rushmore. Gotta keep moving.
