Almost Disneyfied

Tough to hide a surprise at this point 

Pool time with cousins & Unkie Todd after a grueling ride from Daytona to Orlando

So we headed out of Daytona Beach around noon and decided we'd drop the bomb at lunch. Turned out Chili's near the interstate was our choice. Announcement was less than spectacular compared to tv commercials but we think it was probably more shock-based and the way we had our waiter drop it on them (watch here). Their excitement grew minute-by-minute. Had I not printed bad directions, the Baker Bunch would have arrived at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek with the Close Crew (Wyndham Orlando isn't nearly as cool or nice).

Next adventure began when Todd was told his room wasn't ready yet (2:30pm). We got there about 3p and were lucky to have ours ready and waiting. We'd asked to be near each other and we got rooms across from each other. Kids jumped in the pool with Wendy & Todd while Rhonda & I went to buy groceries for our kitchen-ready rooms. Another 3.5 hours passed before the cousins got in their room. No clue why it took 2.5 hours AFTER assigned check-in but it did. Needless to say, nerves needed to be calmed... and were.
