Animal Kingdom was Day One. We followed the Unofficial Guide to Disney and it worked like a charm. Expedition Everest was amazing, River Rapids were wet beyond belief, and animals aplenty - as well as tons of plantlife - made things interesting and cool. You can view 11 seconds in African Heaven here.

Traveling with a 10,8,7, & 4-year old proved to be challenging to find the right mix of rides. Dinosaur was bested by Deacon but he did hide his eyes for a chunk. He & Whit both took on Everest and the illusive Yeti. That will probably be the best ride of the trip. Can't imagine anything topping it. Our lunch in Africa was interrupted by musicians who gathered crowd members to perform. Of course, I got chosen and guilted into performing. It lasted much longer than the 11 seconds you see.

Afterwards, pool time was prime. Some goofy golf right outside our doors was also done but storms made everyone scatter for a bit. Lightning and rain like that I haven't seen in a long, long time. It was pretty spectacular. The rainbow afterwards was second only to the delicious meal of brats and beer. We all felt quite tired from our Day 1.
