Phase 4 - To Indiantown!

Readying the boat for the #2 largest lake in the U.S. - Okeechobee
Cap'n Kenny knows it like the back of his hand

Just 6 feet off the boat but not too friendly

Snail Kite let us roll right up within 10 feet. Kenny'd never seen it before.

Water lilies went on forever and were beautiful.
If only we'd found the Rim Ditch Cafe 15 min. earlier!
Ed & Linda's winter retreat is quite the welcoming little community.
Dinner in Jupiter at the Crab House was gorgeous.
Leaving Orlando and the Wyndham was bittersweet. The Mouse put a hurt on our energies over 3 days but the time with family and fantasy was worth it. The Closes headed north to Savannah and we headed south toward Indiantown. On the way, we stopped off in Okeechobee to go on a little airboat voyage on the big lake. First time for us all and it was wonderful. Lots of nature and lots of speed. Can't beat that. After lunch we headed farther south to Indianwood, the little community my in-laws visit in the winter. A dip in their pool, a seafood dinner, and a good night's rest helped recharge our batteries. Next up: Miami and more.

  1. Reading this blog is the next best thing to being on a fantastic trip with our favorite Bakers. Well, maybe not the next best thing, but we do love it. Looking forward to reading about your delicious media noches from Little Havana and a Wendy joining a biker gang in Key West.
