Daytona Done!

Goodbye Anastasia. Thanks for the mini-fridge.
Kathy @ Betty's was the best waitress ever!

Marineland calves put on quite a show

Waves aren't sissy ones like Hilton Head. Surfers everywhere!
Daytona Boardwalk after watching a guy swallow razor blades

We trekked down A1A yesterday morning toward Daytona Beach, enjoying the wacky architecture all along the coast. No covenants for these folks. Marineland was a surprise stop along the way. For $26 you can learn much about dolphins, rub their bellies, feed them, and get your picture taken with them (by their photographer of course). Learned that the Georgia Aquarium bought this research center last year. It's small but beautiful and right on the beach.

Next was lunch at Betty's A1A Cafe around Ormond Beach area. Kathy Shapiro was our Wonder Waitress and a new fast friend. Wendy's Shrimpwich had her in an alternate state of existence.

Daytona was cloudy, sprinkly, and sunny in the 3 hours we hit the beach. Strong waves that made for great boogie boarding. Realized this is the PCB of the Atlantic... and maybe then some. A little entertainment on the boardwalk and a walk on the beach with Keely rounded out the day and everyone slept like logs.

*Staying at the "4-Star Hilton" and they charge $10 for internet. REALLY! C'mon!! So I'm posting on Monday instead of burning more on the beach. Lunch today should be quite revealing to the kids.
